Build the systems powering the next generation of intelligent robotics
We're partnered with an innovative robotics company that is deploying autonomous systems into real-world production environments. As the business scales rapidly, they're looking for a Robotics Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of the critical software, infrastructure, and automation systems that keep their robotic fleet operating reliably 24/7.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside the CTO and have a tangible impact on both engineering productivity and product reliability. You'll sit at the intersection of robotics, cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and AI-powered automation, solving complex, cross-functional challenges that span hardware, software, and production operations.
If you're a hands-on engineer who enjoys understanding how systems work beneath the surface and wants genuine ownership in a high-growth environment, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Robotics Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and scaling the infrastructure that supports both the engineering team and an expanding fleet of production robots. You'll identify bottlenecks, improve reliability, automate workflows, and develop the internal tooling needed to accelerate development across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and improve robot-side software and infrastructure, including Linux environments, Python-based control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
- Partner closely with the CTO to identify and remove engineering bottlenecks, improving deployment speed, system reliability, and developer productivity.
- Design and implement AI-powered engineering workflows and agents to automate debugging, testing, infrastructure management, and operational tasks.
- Troubleshoot complex issues spanning hardware, operating systems, networking, cloud services, and application layers.
- Build simulation, testing, and validation tooling to enable rapid development without reliance on physical robotics hardware.
- Drive best practices around infrastructure reliability, monitoring, deployment automation, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Robotics Software, or a similar systems-focused role.
- Strong Linux systems knowledge and experience operating production infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Python and software engineering best practices.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based systems.
- A strong debugging mindset with the ability to diagnose issues across multiple layers of a technology stack.
- Excitement for working with AI coding agents and automation tools.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment with significant ownership and autonomy.
Why Join?
- Work directly with an experienced CTO on high-impact technical initiatives.
- Own business-critical systems from day one.
- Exposure to robotics, AI, cloud infrastructure, and developer productivity tooling.
- Fast-moving environment where great ideas can be implemented quickly.
- Opportunity to shape engineering processes and tooling across an entire organisation.
- Join a company solving real-world challenges with cutting-edge robotics technology.
