About the Company
Our client is a rapidly growing robotics and AI company building intelligent automation solutions that enable smarter, more efficient warehouse and manufacturing operations.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role leading the installation and deployment of AI-powered robotic systems at sites across Europe. You'll take end-to-end ownership of installation, integration, and commissioning β working closely with internal engineering teams, project managers, and customer stakeholders to bring live systems into production.
Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment, installation, and commissioning of advanced robotic and automation systems across customer sites.
- Deliver hands-on mechanical and electrical integration, ensuring systems are installed safely and to a high standard.
- Coordinate on-site activities with project stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and handover.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues, carrying out repairs and performance optimisation where required.
- Conduct system testing, validation, and commissioning to ensure operational readiness.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and user support throughout the deployment lifecycle.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements in deployment quality and system performance.
- Travel extensively across Europe (approximately 75%) to support customer projects.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience deploying, commissioning, or supporting robotic, automation, or industrial systems in the field.
- A hands-on engineering background with mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across mechanical, electrical, and software.
- Working knowledge of robotic systems, industrial automation, or related technologies.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or C++, and knowledge of ROS2 and robotic system architecture. Docker/containerisation experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively on customer sites and alongside cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with 6-axis robotic systems or AMRs is preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe as part of a field-based role.
