For work beyond contracted work hours, OT pay will be payable for salaries below $2,600. For salaries above $2,600, OIL will be given.
Location: Resources may beexpected to travel as events may be held in islandwide locations.
Job Description
About the role
We create live experiences powered by robotics. Our performance robots appear in front ofreal audiences at events where reliability and timing matter as much asspectacle. As a Robot Operator, you are the person who brings these machines to life in the moment: rehearsing them, bringing them to shows, running themduring shows, and ensuring safety. You are also the person who makes sure theevent around the robots runs smoothly - the logistics, the paperwork, and thecoordination with everyone else on site.
What you'll do
On show
. Operate performancerobots live during public-facing events, executing cues accurately and on time
. Set up roboticsbefore the show and pack down and secure the robots after each performance
. Run pre-showchecks, function tests, and safety verifications escalate issues before theyreach an audience
. Troubleshoot simplefaults quickly under time pressure
. Enforce safetyexclusion zones, e-stop discipline, and crowd-separation protocols wheneverrobots are energized near people
Event support andcoordination
. Support the liaisonwith venue staff, and event organizers before and during each booking toconfirm space, power, flooring, access routes, and timings
. Attend site visitsand technical walkthroughs where required, and flag any venue constraints early
. Brief client-sidestaff and volunteers on what the robots do, what they must not do, and wherethe safety boundaries sit
. Represent thecompany professionally on site, resolving small issues independently andescalating the ones that matter
Logistics and load
. Support load-in,load-out, and transport of robots, including packing, securing, and unpackingflight cases and equipment
. Check equipment inand out against inventory lists, confirming nothing is missing or damagedbefore leaving site
. Coordinate withdrivers and couriers on collection and delivery windows
Organization and administration
. Prepare andmaintain event documentation
. Complete post-eventreports covering how the activation ran, any incidents, and recommendations fornext time
. Track and submitexpenses, timesheets, and travel bookings accurately and on time
. Maintain and updatethe shared event calendar, schedules, and equipment availability so the teamalways knows what is where
Support AI Factory
. During times whenthere are no shows, to support the AI Factory with regards to admin, simpleresearch and technical work
Qualifications

. Calm, methodicalproblem-solving when something fails five minutes before doors
. Well organized andreliable with paperwork, logs, and schedules - comfortable owning the adminside without being chased
. Confident, clearcommunicator with clients, venues, colleagues, and the public
. Availability forevenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as the show schedule requires
. Ability to liftapprox. 30 kg and stand for extended periods
